Cynthia Ann Stephanie Cynd Laupe born June 22, 1953 is an American Grammy- and Emmy-award winning singer-songwriter and actress.In December 2008, Bring Ya to the Brink was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album. Lauper also signed a book deal for an autobiography that is scheduled to come out at the end of 2009 or early 2010. Lauper appeared on the 2009 TV Land Awards on April 19 and performed the theme song for Electra Woman and Dyna Girl as part of a musical tribute to Sid Krofft and Marty Krofft.
