Nicola Roberts has hit out at reports which continue to claim that Girls Aloud will reunite without Nadine Coyle.

Appearing on GMTV, Roberts told guest host Kirsty Gallacher that the reports are unfair on the group’s fans. Kimberley Walsh also recently denied the stories.

Roberts confirmed that the band are still on their break but said that they will begin planning their comeback at the end of the year.

“We’re all still of doing our own thing,” she said. “Our break hasn’t been up yet, we’re supposed to have a year off so at the end of the year, we’ll start to regroup and talk about the future plans and stuff. But at the moment we’re all kind of dabbling in different things.”

On the Coyle reports, she added: “I think it’s one of those things that as a band we’ve always kind of had from day one and at the moment it seems to be very prominent.

“I mean we were in the band a day and had a press conference and they were already asking ‘When is Nadine leaving the band?’. And it’s kind of just one of those things that’s part and parcel with the whole [thing].”

Asked if the reports upset her, Roberts responded: “I think it’s quite deflating for the fans but we tend to not take it on board too much.”
